Thanks for this post. I wasn’t invited but I’m looking forward to going one year (if selected). Your post really cleared up a lot of questions that I had about it.

SN: Do you have to be a Disney Alumni in order to join the group that you linked to? I’m a newbie but would love to learn from you guys!

Glad, Prototype Mama! Thanks for reading through :-)

Yes, you do for that one. However, I believe I’ve seen a Disney Social Media Moms Alumni + Hopefuls group (not sure if that’s the exact name) on Facebook that anyone can join. Best of luck!

I’m not attending this year, but will be following along with those who are.

Another thing your parents gave you was a great name Pilar! At some point I met a Pilar who must have made a great impression on me, because I have loved the name ever since! Can’t wait to meet you at Disney!

Thank you for such an insightful and informative article! I have been blogging about Disney for a few years now and have been crossing my fingers hoping to get an invite if they do a second-round for the conference. There are so many “Urban Legends” and myths that surround the DSMM conference and I loved how you were able to shed some light on a blogger like myself who is still dreaming of attending. I hope you have a fabulous time and I look forward to reading your future posts. PS- Any chance you could take me in your suit case? I promise to travel light! 😉

Never stop dreaming, Jeanine :-) Even if you won’t be attending this time around, there will be plenty of information and learnings being shared on Twitter via #DisneySMMoms. I typically live tweet throughout the sessions and know many others do as well.

Thanks for the post. I am a newbie and I am very excited to attend! One popular myth is that the conference is paid for… NOT. Thanks for letting everyone know. I am over the moon happy and ready to learn, meet, grow and fill my families hearts with pixie dust!
