'Royal Baby Fever' gets picked up for a second season and everyone is already way overexcited. | Dearest Geeks of EarthWills and Kate are expecting a spare to their one year-old heir, and it’s pretty much the only thing the internets can talk about right now.

Clarence House confirmed the happy news via an official statement this morning:

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.

The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

Only 12 weeks into her pregnancy, the palace also noted that Duchess Kate is already suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum as she did with Prince George. The serious condition is characterized by extreme, persistent nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that can lead to dehydration and subsequent hospitalization.

Here’s thinking that’s why the palace made the announcement so early, especially since royal officials said it wasn’t clear if the Duchess will be able to carry out planned official engagements, including an upcoming trip to Malta that would mark her first solo trip overseas.

Nonetheless, royal watchers everywhere are way overexcited already. Even the British Prime Minister (or the BBC) who used air quotes in all the wrong places in this shouty red headline:

Which of course immediately made us think of this:

We missed you, royal baby fever.
