Air New Zealand just debuted the most epic 'Hobbit' safety video ever. | Dearest Geeks of EarthAs the “official airline of Middle-earth,” Air New Zealand went all out to celebrate the third and final film in The Hobbit trilogy – The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – with what it very justly calls “The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made.”

The four-minute mini-saga stars two Hobbit superfans who board an Air New Zealand flight and geek upon discovering that Elijah Wood (Frodo) is seated across the aisle. They geek further as an elfin stewardess takes the pair on a romp through the Tolkien universe, complete with cameos by Peter Jackson, Sylvester McCoy, Dean O’Gorman and Richard Taylor, an orc in an oxygen mask, a Gandalf-ish wizard who explains the crash position, and an elf who proffers tiny life jackets.

Wood closes the clip with wishes so warm from a Shire so welcoming, we’re calling field trip right now:

“May your path always be guided by the light of the stars and may the future bestow upon you all the happiness and adventure our Middle-earth has to offer.”
