Angry Birds is getting its own animated movie, kids.

And while we’re inwardly scoffing a little, the announcement Sony sent over lists a pretty impressive voice cast, which in turn, just made things a lot more interesting.

Jason Sudeikis (Red), Josh Gad, (Chuck), Danny McBride (Bomb), Bill Hader (pig – no word on which one), Maya Rudolph (Matilda), and Peter Dinklage (Mighty Eagle) will lead the charge when the film flies into theaters on July 1, 2016, reminding us all that this is definitely not Rovio’s first rodeo.

More than 3 billion viewers have already flocked to Angry Birds Toons, the weekly animated series Rovio launched last year through the mobile game, as well as on select video-on-demand channel providers and on select TV networks around the world.

We’d like to venture a guess that our own kids’ repeated viewings counted for at least a billion of those.
