Styled Lord George Oceans Gravity, Marquis of Hollywood, Clooney appeared in a two-part Downton Abbey charity skit alongside the actual cast that aired Friday in the U.K to benefit the British charity Text Santa.

The sketch sees Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham, losing the family fortune (again), and discovering what life at Downton would be like without him with the help of an angel played by Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley.

The alternate reality that ensues is hilarious, especially once Lord Grantham learns that Cora has married Lord Hollywood, a dapper gent (so himself, basically) that has turned all the ladies of Downton, including Lady Violet (!), into smitten kittens.

Heavy drinking, strip poker and selfies ensue, along with appearances from Julian Fellowes and Jeremy Piven, the latter of which is costumed as the slick Mr. Selfridge. Laden down with lacy underthings for the ladies of Downton, he charms them with his American accent, much to the chagrin of Lord Grantham. Because he’s a tradesman. And bearded. And apparently has a little something-something going with Isobel Crawley.

Luckily, the befuddled patriarch soon realizes that Downton is better with him in it, and returns to his life just in time to sing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” with Mrs. Hughes, Carson, Daisy, Mrs. Patmore, Thomas, Mrs. Baxter, Mr. Molesley, and Mr. Bates.

Just watch. And then watch again.

Thank goodness Downton Abbey will be here soon.

The drama’s fifth season will debut in the U.S. on Jan. 4 on PBS.
