Turns out National Hugging Day is an actual holiday.
Created in 1986 and held annually on January 21, it’s all about encouraging people to hug anyone and everyone who wants a good squeeze.
And today, Disney’s Baymax, the personal healthcare companion robot who’s built like Stay-Puft and sounds like inflatable furniture from the 90s, was named Most Huggable Character of 2015.
The Big Hero 6 star humbly accepted the coveted award from his residence in San Fransokyo, where he attributed the honor to his “non-threatening, huggable design” and said he looks forward to spending the upcoming year giving and receiving hugs from all.
Big Hero 6 is available on Digital HD starting February 3, and Blu-Ray and DVD on February 24.
