Disney's going back to Duckburg, everyone. Woo-oo! | Dearest Geeks of EarthDisney Channel just announced plans to reboot DuckTales, the beloved duck-blur starring Scrooge McDuck and his grandnephews, and all the kids who tuned in after school in the late 80s and early 90s are in a duck-blur.

Set to launch in 2017 on Disney XD, the new series, still called DuckTales, will bring back Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge’s archenemy Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell and Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys, Mrs. Beakley and of course, Webbigail.

“DuckTales has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults,” Marc Buhaj, senior vice president of programming for Disney XD, said in a statement. “Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.”

DuckTales, a four-time Emmy winner, spawned a film, DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp, and countless labors of nostalgic love, as proven by a remake of the series’ opening titles featuring real ducks that has more than 6 million views on YouTube:
