runDisney just released information on its first international race event ever.

The inaugural Disneyland Paris Half Marathon Weekend is set for September 23-25 2016, and will include a half marathon, 5k fun run and kids races.

The half marathon will start on September 25, with a course that will run through Disneyland Paris‘ two theme parks and into the surrounding countryside villages before heading back towards Disney Village. Both the 5K and the half marathon include Disney characters and course entertainment.

The 5k (3.1 mile) fun run, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24, will make its way through Disneyland Paris. Open to participants five years old and up who can finish the race on their own within the pacing requirements (both the 5k and half have the same 16-minute-mile pacing requirements as other runDisney races) can participate. A few different kids races will also be held on Saturday, and will be open to kidlets 12 years old and younger, with distances and participation determined by age groups.

The Paris race weekend will also offer family-friendly events that have become synonymous with other runDisney race weekends. Think private party in Walt Disney Studios Park, a pre-race “Pasta Party” complete with Mickey and friends, a performance of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, and a runDisney Health and Fitness Expo.

Package registration opens on October 6, 2015, with limited race registrations scheduled to start on Jan. 12, 2016 for individual sign-ups.
